Google PageRank and Blogs

Blogs (or weB LOGS) are a great way to increase your sites PageRank. How do blogs help PageRank? Well, the answer is really nothing new to SEO Experts. Blogs increase PageRank because a good blog will be linked to by other sites. It's that simple, there's no magic. So what makes a Blog good? A good blog must deliver quality useful content frequently. By providing your readers with quality frequent posts, other sites and bloggers will link to, and comment on them in their own blogs.

Linking in this way achieves the highest quality of incoming link. Firstly, the link is natural, that is it's not reciprocal or farmed. It's a link because what your post is about is useful to that person. Secondly, the incoming link is quite likely themed because the linking blog is probably in the same general topic as your post. Many high quality links like these are exactly what boosts your sites PageRank.

There are many free blogging packages available that are easy to use and integrate with your existing site. One of the best is Blogger, Googles own blogging package. It's robust, easy to use and it's free.

As with all SEO practices remember Googles mission statement: "Google's mission is to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful. "

An easy to use Blog that provides access to useful information is a win for both you and Google.
